What is coworking?

Coworking spaces have become hugely popular in recent years.  They offer a shared workspace for freelancers, remote workers, small businesses, and other independent workers.  These spaces are flexible, cost-effective, and great for networking, all without the commitment of a long-term lease or costly overheads.

Who uses Oak House Workspace?

Oak House Workspace is designed for anyone seeking a quiet and productive environment to work.  This includes freelancers, remote workers, small business owners, creatives and teams from growing startups.  Whether you’re working solo or part of a group, Oak House Workspace provides a supportive and professional space for all.      

Where is Oak House Workspace located?

We’re on the A44 Bromyard Road in St Johns, to the west of Worcester City Centre.  It is easily accessible by car and public transport.

St Johns is known locally as ‘the village in the city’ and has an array of shops including Sainsbury’s, Aldi and The Range, a sports centre and library all within a 5-minute drive away.

Are you close to public transport?

Yes.  Worcester Foregate Street Station is just 1.5 miles away.  From the City Centre, the number 30 bus stops just a short walk from Oak House Workspace, on the main A44 Bromyard Road. 

Memberships

What’s included in the membership?

Your membership includes superfast WiFi, utilities and unlimited tea and coffee. 

We also have optional extras available to include using Oak House as your registered office address and discounted meeting room hire. 

Do I need to sign a long-term contract?

No.  We offer flexible memberships that include daily passes and monthly memberships. 

We do have some private office space available for a minimum term of six months.

Is there a minimum term?

No, you can use Oak House Workspace by the hour if needed. 

However, private office spaces are only available for a minimum term of six months. 

Can I book a tour or try a day before committing?

Yes! Get in touch to book a tour or sign-up for our newsletter for a free half-day pass.

Can I change my membership at a later date?

Of course.  All of our memberships are designed to be flexible.  If required, you can upgrade or downgrade your membership with just a bit of notice. 

What if I need to cancel my membership?

There are no hard feelings.  We just ask for one months notice before cancelling. 

What are your opening hours?

Oak House Workspace is open 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.  24/7 access is given to members who rent private office space.    

Can I work late or at weekends?

Members who rent a private office space have the flexibility to come and go as they please.  All other members will only be able to access Oak House Workspace between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. 

Pricing and billing

How much does it cost to rent a desk or office?

Prices start from £25 per month up to £250 per month for a fixed desk depending on your requirements.

Private offices are also available.  Please get in touch with a member of our team for availability and costs.

Are there any setup fees or deposits?

For coworking spaces, no deposits are needed.  However, if you are renting one of our private offices, a small deposit will apply.  This is normally payable in advance.

How do I pay for my membership?

We invoice our members monthly.  Payments can be made via bank transfer or direct debit through GoCardless.

Are there any hidden fees?

No.  All services are included in your membership fees.  Optional extras like meeting room hire or to register your business at Oak House Workspace are charged separately.

Is there on-site support or staff?

Not always.  If it’s your first time visiting Oak House Workspace, someone will be there to greet you and help you get settled in. 

Day-to-day, the workspace is mostly self-managed.  However, our Workspace Managers are based in a neighbouring office and will be able to offer support if needed. 

Is parking available at Oak House Workspace?

Yes, we have several car parking spaces available onsite on a first come, first served basis. 

Can I make phone/video calls from my desk?

Yes, but please be considerate of other members.  If required, we do have private meeting rooms available.

Is Oak House Workspace quiet?

Yes, Oak House Workspace is designed to be a calm, quiet and productive environment, not a noisy hub! This makes it ideal for deep work.  If required, we have meeting rooms available so you can shut yourself off from the rest of the world. 

How secure is Oak House Workspace?

We have secure access control and CCTV for added peace of mind. 

Services and extras

Are meeting rooms available to book?

Yes, by the hour, half day or full day. Depending on your requirements we can cater for anything from two to ten people.

Can I bring in clients and guests?

Yes.  Our meeting rooms are perfect for hosting guests or for team catch-ups. 

Can I register my business at Oak House Workspace?

Yes, members can use Oak House Workspace as their registered office address.  Contact us for pricing.

What is a registered office address?

It’s your official business address.  While using your home address may seem like the best option when you don’t have a fixed office, it’s not always the best decision for you or your business.

Using a coworking space like Oak House Workspace protects your privacy and creates a more professional image for your business.

Policies

Is Oak House Workspace dog-friendly?

If you have your own dedicated office, bringing your pooch to work on occasions is allowed. All we ask is that you let us know so that we can let the other members know.
