Working at ISO Quality Services Ltd (ISO QSL) we were already busy running our family business. So, taking on a new challenge probably wasn’t the obvious choice. Yet four years ago, that’s exactly what we decided to do.
It all started with some unused space beneath our current office. Rather than letting it sit idle, we chose to reimagine it. Throughout 2022, we undertook a significant programme of redevelopment works that transformed that space into what is now Oak House Workspace Limited The space now offers a modern, flexible co-working environment with hot desks, meeting rooms and fixed office space designed to suit the way people really work.
As the demand for high‑quality flexible working space continued to grow, we were clear about our vision: to create a space we would genuinely want to work in ourselves. Calm, professional, modern and welcoming, somewhere that supports productivity as well as connection.
When we officially opened our doors in May 2023, we stepped into a completely new world. Three years on, we can confidently say it’s a leap we have never regretted.
We’ve welcomed a diverse mix of fixed office clients, co‑workers, and casual users, and are becoming the go‑to meeting venue on this side of the river.
We joined the Chamber of Commerce, began hosting events, and worked consistently to build and strengthen the Oak House Workspace brand within the local business community.
Importantly, this hasn’t been a “set it and forget it” project. We continue to invest in the space, making thoughtful improvements and adding those all‑important finishing touches that elevate it into the calm, modern and professional environment we originally envisaged.
Seeing Oak House Workspace grow and flourish has given us immense pride and pleasure. What started as an idea has become a thriving business community, and we’re genuinely excited about what the future holds as it continues to develop.
If there’s one thing this journey has shown us, it’s that sometimes the boldest decisions are the most rewarding.
